Golf Course Review: Hermon Meadow Golf Club & Training Center
Fairways and Greens in Good Shape, but Quirky Layout
Good green fees and friendly staff. Greens and fairways seem to be well kept.
However, the carts paths are in terrible shape and the overall layout can be very confusing - especially for a first-time player. The carts themselves are old and should be updated. Some holes actually backtrack to the next one, others seem to have (very close) adjacent tee-off areas which can add to the confusion. Lots of blind tee shots are required as well.
Additionally, the dog legs (right and left) seem to be much more extreme than what is mapped on the score card. Some holes even have multiple dog legs (especially hole 15). Drinking water is available on select holes only, and ball cleaners seem to be missing for a majority of them. Some of the fairways also have nooks and crannies that can swallow tee shots.
But it is good value for the money, and they do give a senior and military discount. Perhaps if I play it again, accepting it for what it is, I will give a better review.
